Public Relations Approach

To assertively grow sales at MY SISTER, I implemented a multi-level public relations plan. The approach was to gain more awareness in top markets (NYC, LA, Chicago, etc.) and engage with a variety of communities through highlighting and educating our three key messages:

  • The product

  • The social impact

  • Our business model and structure

 

This initiative combined with other marketing strategies produced phenomenal engagement, tons of celebrity sightings (including an appearance with Chelsea Handler wearing our shirt on the Ellen show!) and revenue growth up to 156% YOY with sustainable month-to-month sales.

Celebrity Partnership

In the apparel world, you can make a significant impact in brand awareness and revenue growth by getting your products on influencers and celebrities. I approached it using a planting the seeds strategy to increase sales, followers and create a buzz in the celebrity and media community. 

Those beginning endorsements resulted in several celebrity sales and activist, Amber Tamblyn, approaching us for a partnership. With her support, teamed up with a digital advertising and PR strategy to amplify the collection, we achieved sales 170%  above the previous quarter.
